Allegations of negligence are usually resolved between the parties or by the civil courts and are generally not a matter for the RCVS. There are occasions though when the alleged negligence is so serious as to be an issue of professional conduct.
Where this appears to be a real possibility, the RCVS will investigate a complaint. If no issues of professional conduct are identified a complaint will not be pursued.
For further information and advice on negligence and serious professional misconduct see the 'Related documents' box, top right.
