Executive Director, RCVS Knowledge

Salary: £70,000 + plus generous benefits package
Location: Belgravia House, 62-64 Horseferry Road, London SW1P 2AF

RCVS Knowledge, the charity partner of the RCVS, is seeking to appoint an Executive Director to lead this pioneering charity through a new and significant phase of growth and development.

The ambition of the charity is to become a global intermediary for evidence-based veterinary knowledge, providing access to information that is of immediate value to practising veterinary professionals, directly contributes to clinical decision-making and has the ability to bring long-term gains to animal health and welfare. With considerable progress made since RCVS Knowledge (the trading name for RCVS Trust) was launched in 2013, in the next phase the Charity plans to considerably grow its reach among the veterinary profession and the academic community worldwide in order to bring evidence increasingly to the heart of veterinary decision making.

A small, innovative organisation, the new Director will have the energy, leadership and management ability to drive the step-change RCVS Knowledge needs to become the go-to organisation for evidence-based veterinary practise. Reporting to the Chair of Trustees, they may have commercial or public sector/not-for-profit experience or both but most importantly will be their ability to champion the aims and ambitions of RCVS Knowledge externally, to run a tight ship internally and to develop the momentum, partnerships, relationships and funding which will ensure that the charity is sustainable over the long-term and can deliver on its promise.

If you have the management, communication, relationship and stakeholder management skills and the appetite on behalf of RCVS Knowledge, to transform veterinary practise worldwide please contact Liz Amos or Mary Deegan of Liz Amos Associates to obtain an application pack, on +44 (0)20 7464 4351 or at or

Closing date for applications: Friday 29 April 2016 (5pm)
