Dr Arun Midha

Biography

Arun read Politics at Swansea University and Economics and Industrial relations at Oxford University. He gained an MBA from Cardiff University and a PhD also from Swansea University.

Executive roles have included: Director, Strategy and Resources, School of Postgraduate Medical and Dental Education, Cardiff University; Assistant Director, Welsh Combined Centres for Public Health at the Wales College of Medicine; Commerce and Industry Advisor at Health Promotion Wales and; Lloyds Bank plc.

Public roles have included: Lay member, General Medical Council, also Treasurer, Chair of Resources and member of its Education committee; Trustee, General Medical Council's Pension scheme; Lay member of the Health and Care Professions Council and member of its Education, Finance and Remuneration committees; Lay Member, Appeals committee, Pharmaceutical council; Lay Member, Advisory Committee for Clinical Excellence Awards (Wales); Independent member Resources committee, Wales Audit Office; Chair, Renal Advisory Board (Wales); Non-Executive Director, Wales NHS.
