Mr Martin Whiting MRCVS


Biography

Martin Whiting, RCVS Disciplinary Committee memberMartin qualified as a veterinary surgeon from the Royal Veterinary College in 2006. Following a few years in practice, including an internship at Dick White Referrals, he returned to the RVC as a research assistant on a canine welfare project.

Martin completed a Masters in Medical Ethics and Law from King’s College London and is nearing completion of his PhD on Veterinary Justice. He was appointed as Lecturer in Veterinary Ethics and Law at the Royal Veterinary College in 2013.

His research interests are in a wide variety of areas of professional conduct and veterinary law, including areas of general practice, animal research and animal ownership. He also undertakes research into the history and development of the veterinary professions.

Martin is a strong supporter of RCVS Knowledge and their EBVM programme. He has been a member of the VeNom Coding Group since 2007.
