Eight international veterinary surgeons were admitted to the RCVS on Wednesday 23 July, at a special ceremony for candidates who were successful in the 2008 Statutory Examination for Membership.

The Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) has launched a research project into the extent to which veterinary surgeons are able to meet its requirement that steps are taken to provide 24-hour emergency cover.


Register of Members 2007

This publication is required by the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966 and represents a key reference work for the veterinary profession in the UK. Not only does it provide a full alphabetical listing of Members and Fellows of the RCVS with their qualifications, but it also lists RCVS Honours and Awards, certificate and diploma holders, RCVS recognised specialists along with lists of those employed in the veterinary schools and other organisations.

Directory of Veterinary Practices 2007

The RCVS Directory of Veterinary Practices aims to provide the most comprehensive listing of veterinary services in the UK. A must for any organisation seeking to target specific veterinary audiences, the Directory lists veterinary practices by regions and indicates the practices' main areas of activity and whether there are any specialisms within the practices.

RCVS Annual Report 2007

The RCVS Annual Report provides an overview of the College's activities and fully audited accounts during the year under review. It also contains key statistics on the numbers and distribution of the veterinary profession. This report is available to order free of charge and/or may be ordered below.

Colours and Markings of Horses (Revised 2005)

This publication has changed its name to "Identification of horses: instructions for veterinary surgeons". It is now published by the Weatherbys Group, in conjunction with the RCVS and the British Equine Veterinary Association.
