Print journals

All RCVS members, registered/listed veterinary nurses and Library members are entitled to borrow up to ten items at any one time. Journals can be borrowed for two weeks and may be renewed twice, unless there is a request from another reader.

Postal loans (within UK only)

Journals can be posted to all RCVS members, registered/listed veterinary nurses and Library members in the UK if you are unable to visit the Library.

Library members: £6 per item           

Non-library members: £8 per item

Interlibrary loans

We have inter-library loan arrangements with a number of major veterinary libraries as well as with the British Library to obtain materials which the library does not hold. If this is the case, we will always contact you first and ask whether you would like to go ahead with the request.

Library members: £17 per item

Non-library members: £21 per item

Viewing and renewing your current loans online

You can use My Account in the Library catalogue to view the list of items that you currently have on loan and to renew them.  To access My Account please contact the Library library@rcvstrust.org.uk for your User ID and PIN.
