Registering as a newly-qualified veterinary nurseOnce you have received your NVQ Level 3 Certificate from your Veterinary Nurse Approved Centre, you will be eligible to register as a newly-qualified veterinary nurse. Registration forms are sent directly to students and should be submitted to the RCVS with the registration fee of £98.00, when you have completed not fewer than 94 weeks (equivalent to 3290 hours), excluding annual leave or absence, of full-time training in an Approved Training Practice or Practices since the date of your enrolment as a Student Veterinary Nurse. For more information about this requirement, see the VN Byelaws (PDF file - 142Kb). Once your registration application has been processed, you will receive your Certificate of Qualification and your Veterinary Nurse Badge. It will then be your responsibility to ensure that your entry on the Register of Veterinary Nurses is kept up-to-date by informing us immediately of any change of name, address, or employment. This is so the College can keep you informed of any developments in the status of veterinary nurses. If you have received your NVQ Level 3 Certificate and have not yet received a registration pack, please contact the Veterinary Nursing Department. |
