Council Elections 2006RCVS Council Elections are the democratic process by which six new members of the profession are elected in a free and open vote each year. This year 12 candidates are standing for election, comprising five existing Council Members who have decided to stand again plus seven new candidates. Each candidate is invited to submit a manifesto (which may also include contact details and a biography) together with a supporting statement from each of two proposers. You may view this information by selecting from the list of candidates below:
You may also wish to view some background information about the 2006 election and some further details about RCVS Governance. Ballot papers and election manifestos were mailed to RCVS members on 10 March 2006. The deadline for submission of votes to Electoral Reform Services (ERS) Ltd is 5pm on Friday 28 April 2006. In order to ensure that the ballot is independently and securely administered and validated, all votes must be marked on the official ballot paper and submitted to ERS. You are not able to vote online. Any member who has not received their ballot paper should contact Ian Holloway (i.holloway@rcvs.org.uk or 020 7202 0727) with their name and Register number, who will arrange for an official duplicate to be forwarded to you. |
