Preparing for the Statutory Membership ExaminationOverseas veterinarians are permitted to gain experience of and clinical competence in UK veterinary procedures by attendance at a UK veterinary practice for the purpose of entering for the Statutory Examination for Membership. We are unable to help individuals to find placements and cannot recommend establishments. You must contact veterinary surgeons and practices direct and make arrangements yourself. You can use Find a Vet to search our database to find a veterinary practice near you. Please note that the decision to permit or refuse permission to attend is at the veterinary surgeon's discretion. You must inform us in writing of any arrangements you make to attend (a) veterinary practice/s and must continue to provide updated information as necessary. Please complete the Seeing Practice Form (PDF file - 69Kb) with details of your intentions or arrangements to attend veterinary practice/s and send it to us. LibraryExamination candidates may use the RCVS Trust Library as a reference library only. You may be eligible to apply for a reader's pass to the British Library's Science Collections. |
