The results of the Manpower Surveys of recent years (see below) were built on this year with the RCVS Survey of the Profession 2006, conducted in the spring and published in June.

Manpower Survey 2002

Following the comprehensive RCVS Manpower Surveys conducted in 1998 and 2000, the RCVS commissioned a smaller veterinary employment survey in 2002 in order to update this key information about trends and developments in the veterinary profession.

Manpower Survey 2000

Following the RCVS Manpower Survey 1998, the RCVS repeated the exercise in 2000 in order to gain a clearer overview of trends and developments in the veterinary profession.

Executive Summary (PDF File) was sent to all members of the RCVS in November 2000 and key opinion formers.

Manpower Survey 1998

The RCVS carried out a manpower survey in 1998 in order to establish trends within the veterinary profession. A questionnaire was sent out to all members of the RCVS in early 1998 and over 61% were completed and returned.
