Jerry Davies elected RCVS Junior Vice-President

Dr Jerry Davies was elected Junior Vice-President of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons at yesterday's RCVS Council meeting. He was uncontested and is due to take up office on RCVS Day on 2 July 2010.

The RCVS Officer team will be heading to Preston on Thursday 18 March to take questions from members of the veterinary profession. Veterinary surgeons, veterinary nurses, practice managers and others involved in the profession are all invited to the meeting to debate current veterinary issues.

You may have read an article in the Saturday 6 February issue of the Guardian regarding a Romanian veterinary graduate who is working as a veterinary nurse in the UK. The article raised some issues and we have written to the editor of the Guardian to outline these.
